Dry Brow Covers v Shower Visors
Thinking about relying on a shower visor to keep your brows dry after your treatment? Here’s a couple of things to consider in regards to microblading aftercare:
- A visor will not keep out steam, and steam can be just as damaging as water. Dry Brow covers keep out 100% of steam and water.
- A visor isn’t going to help you cleanse your face. Our waterproof covers for microbladed eyebrows will save you a lot of time and effort.
How To: Keep Your Microblading, Cosmetic Tattoo, Tinting & Henna From Fading
Skincare junkies might flinch at the thought of not being able to use active skincare ingredients such as Retinol, Vitamin C, AHAs & BHAs as these can contribute to fading. To make your microblading and other treatments last longer, you can use Dry Brow when applying skincare containing these ingredients (both during and after the cosmetic tattoo and microblading healing process). Want to use a strong exfoliating or brightening mask or get a chemical peel but don’t want it to affect your brows? Dry Brow has you covered. Simply stick it on before your skincare treatment.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Important: Make sure area around brows is clean and dry to ensure Dry Brow adheres properly to the skin. We recommend cleansing around the area with a face cleanser on a cotton tip or wipe.
2. Remove adhesive paper film backing.
3. Place Dry Brow over brows, taking care to position the adhesive strip border over skin and avoiding eyebrow hair.
4. Firmly press and rub adhesive strip border.
5. Once securely attached to skin, remove film on front of Dry Brow by peeling in direction of blue arrows, allowing for a comfortable and flexible feel.
6. Discard after use.
How Dry Brow will help you breeze through the microblading/cosmetic tattoo healing process, and after lamination, tinting & henna:
You never truly realise how often you get your face wet until you’re not allowed to.
Showering: When you can't get a section of your face wet. the daily task of showering can pose a significant inconvenience. You can try and simply keep your face out of the water, however the steam will inevitably get to your brows anyway. You could wear a snorkel mask, however it will fog up and you won’t be able to see what you’re doing. Our best aftercare for microblading, Dry Brow keeps out 100% of water and steam, doesn’t occlude your vision and is so comfortable you won’t even know it’s there! Shower as you normally would without worrying about getting your face wet.
Washing your hair: Whether you wash your hair every day, a couple of times a week or every 10 days, there is eventually going to come a time during the cosmetic tattoo and microblading healing phase when you’re going to have to wash your hair. If you’re using a snorkel mask, the strap will be in the way. If you try without a snorkel mask, you risk water and steam affecting your brows. As many salons suggest, you could go to the hairdresser and get your hair washed over the basin, which is costly and time consuming. You could bother your partner, family member or roommate to wash your hair over the bath. Or you could just stick on Dry Brow's waterproof covers and be done with it, with no damage to your brows!
Cleansing your face: The top half of your face will be very time consuming as you try to navigate around the brows with a wipe or wash cloth, and forget about removing eye makeup properly during this time… Unless you have Dry Brow, in which case go ahead and wash like you normally would, eyes included!
Applying skincare: Freshly tattooed or laminated brows, or brows just after a henna treatment are particularly vulnerable to active ingredients in skincare. To get the best results from your treatment, make sure to apply Dry Brow covers before applying your skincare to avoid exposing your brows.
Swimming: Swimming in chlorinated or salt water should be avoided while your tattoo is healing or in the first 24 hours after a lamination, tinting or henna treatment. Unless you have Dry Brow! Dry Brow will not only protect your brows from getting wet but also from the salt or chlorine in the water.
